Day 1 – Thursday 06 February 2025: Brisbane to Norfolk Island (D)
This morning, meet your dedicated guide at Brisbane International Airport before taking a Qantas flight to picturesque Norfolk Island. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your accommodation for the next seven nights. Tonight, savour a delightful 2-course à la carte dinner at The Homestead restaurant, located in a 1930s island home adjacent to Hundred Acre Reserve and the giant Morten Bay Figs.
Day 2 – Friday 07 February 2025: Natural Wonders, Lavendar Farm & Night as Convict (B,L,D)
This morning you’ll explore Norfolk Island's geological marvels in all their natural beauty. Be expertly guided through the beauty and characteristics of the island's delightful native, endemic and introduced species of trees and shrubs, plants and palms, ferns, flowers and fruits. After light lunch at hotel’s The Boatshed restaurant, visit the Lavender Farm with a private escort and learn all about the 15 different varieties of lavender that are planted. You’ll also see the commercial plantings of rosemary and sage along with seasonal vegetables grown for the ‘paddock-to-plate’ experience. This is great opportunity to try the lavender ice cream. Tonight, let’s enjoy a night of fun! Dress up as a convict and join the Commandant for a memorable evening filled with merriment, feasting, singing, and dancing.
Day 3 – Saturday 08 February 2025: Bailey’s Tea Party & Scenic BBQ Dinner (B,H,D)
After some free time in the morning, get ready for the long-established favourite of afternoon tea which has been re-imagined for Bailey’s Restaurant on Norfolk. Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine on arrival and spend the afternoon with friends new or old as you partake in a selection of sweet and savoury delights and tea or coffee. Tonight, join us for a scenic BBQ at beachside with entertainment. It’s the perfect blend of tasty food and coastal relaxation.
Day 4 – Sunday 09 February 2025: Sunday Market & Local Cooking Demonstration – Invite only (B,FT,D)
Head to the markets this morning after breakfast to enjoy local arts and crafts and mingle with locals. After this, embark on a special invite only cooking demonstration with food taste and welcome drinks. This Norfolk Island special cooking demonstration is run by Jo and Ernie who are the authors of “Island Style Cook, Live & Eat” cookbook. You will also get this cookbook as a gift. Enjoy some free time this late afternoon and get ready for your 2-course dinner at Hillis Restaurant.
Day 5 – Monday 10 February 2025: Hundred Acres Reserve, Island Life & Progressive Dinner (B,L,T,D)
Enjoy a stroll through the gorgeous Hundred Acres Reserve in the morning. This is a must visit while you are visiting. A walking track through the reserve leads to Rocky Point spoiling you with views from the cliffs. This afternoon, you will spend a delightful day touring Norfolk Island, gaining a true insight into the intricate nature of modern island life. Afternoon tea and lunch will be included in this tour. Tonight, enjoy a 3-course meal progressing to different Norfolk Island family homes. A fun night and a great way of meeting the local people and sampling island dishes.
Day 6 – Tuesday 11 February 2025: Bounty Museum, Taste of Norfolk & Island Fish Fry (B,FT,D)
After breakfast, lose yourself in the Bounty Folk Museum for the morning. Though small in size, the museum is wide in scope, with lots of artefacts to pore over. After a short break, you’ll join this afternoon’s tour and meet firsthand some passionate local producers. Meet a local salt maker and taste the local beef. Enjoy a cooking demonstration and tasting of traditional dishes handed down by the Tahitian foremothers. Have a look at a tea industry and taste beautiful blend of Norfolk Island teas. Visit a local beekeeper and learn about local honey bees as well as a tasting of local honey and fruit. Tonight enjoy Norfolk traditions at the Island Fish Fry – a feast of local island dishes and entertainment while the sun sets from scenic 'Orn Daa Cliff' on Norfolk’s beautiful western coastline.
Day 7 – Wednesday 12 February 2025: Captain Cook, Bumboras Bay & Historical Home – Invite only (B,L,C)
After breakfast, your tour escort will grab your packed light lunch and head to Captain Cook Monument and Lookout. At the lookout, feast your eyes on majestic vistas. Along the coastline, Norfolk pines stand proudly on steep, indented cliffs, the South Pacific crashing at their feet. Offshore, you’ll see formations such Bird Rock, Elephant Rock and Green Pool Stone. Enjoy a Picnic Lunch under the tall and straight Pines in Bumboras Reserve. You will have a free afternoon, this is a quiet time on the island and it is also a great time to enjoy some relaxing time in the pool and walks. Tonight, you will be invited to have canapés and drinks at one of Norfolk Island’s historical buildings –a memorable farewell night.
Day 8 – Thursday 13 February 2025: Farewell to Norfolk Island (B)
Enjoy your last hours on the island before preparing to head home. Be transferred to the airport for your Brisbane flight. Lunch at own arrangement.
